Trivia and In-Jokes
About the Story:
After seeing episode 4x10 “Midnight” I decided to write the last bit of the
episode out because I desperately wanted to hold Ten after he’d been released
from whatever the thing was. Poor, poor Doctor. Pity I couldn’t write AL in
better, but oh well. Originally written at 5am. Yeah, I have no life. Shut up. I
later tweaked it once I’d slept. I later decided that the Doctor should call for
AL before saying “It’s gone” and I had her saying it first, but I figured,
judging from the last bit of the episode, that he wouldn’t want to repeat her
especially so soon afterwards. The bit about the muttered apologies is a bit of
artistic license on my part; I’ve no idea if that could have happened in the 20
minutes it took for them to get rescued.
Title:
Let Me Go: What comes to mind when I think of the title is Turlough
in “Mawdryn Undead” begging the Black Guardian to let him out of his deal. That
may be where I got the idea.
