Trivia and In-Jokes
About the Story:
A long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away…no, sorry, wrong universe) I wanted
to write a “sharing dreams” story. I think it was influenced by Fraggle Rock,
but, honestly, it was so far in the past, I can’t really remember. Anyway, due
to a Back to the Future obsession, I decided to re-hash the story.
Title:
Dreaming of You: A song by Selena.
Chapter One:
I’ll Be in Your Dreams Tonight: A lyric in Lonestar’s song “I’m
Already There”.

Chapter Two:
The bit about being taken out of time: A reference to Doctor Who.
The Doctor was taken out of time during the “Trial of a Time Lord” season in
1986. In the last installment, “The Ultimate Foe”, two people from the Doctor’s
past – namely, Sabalom Glitz and Melanie Bush – were taken out of time by the
Master and dropped into the Doctor’s trial. AL was, too, and that’s how she was
returned to him.
Lucid dreaming: I, myself, have this ability to control dreams. However, my control is limited to occasionally. AL can do it all the time.
Chapter Four:
Ich Liebe Dich: The whole idea was actually hijacked…borrowed
from fellow fan fiction author,
Flaming Trails.
7:55: The time I wrote the line.
Chapter Five:
10 in the morning: It was nearing ten at night when I wrote that
part.
Chapter Six:
A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes: From Cinderella.
Chapter Seven:
Such Stuff As Dreams Are Made Of: A line from Doctor Who.
1:14: The date (January 14th) I wrote it.
Chapter Eight:
If I Could, Then I Would: A song by The Calling.
August 22nd: The time (8:22) I wrote it.
Chapter Eleven:
The Waters of Watching: This was a mixture of two things from two separate
books: the scrying pool from The Unicorn Chronicles and the Watching Pool
from The Unicorns of Balinor.
Chapter Twelve:
1:19: The date (January 19th) I wrote it.
