Chapter Four: Post-Party

Jack had met all of the blog residents and had spent some time catching up with the Ninth Doctor. It was a week later when everyone who could be affected had recovered from the Roof-Raiser party.

“Oh…my head…”

Well, partially.

“What was in that punch?” Tommy groaned.

“Nothing…” said AL.

“Oh, please, don’t shout…” complained Adam.

“…I wasn’t.”

“Shh!” moaned Jesse.

Clark, Data and Hooks were the only ones who didn’t seem any worse for wear.

Hooks was shaking his head at the sorry group. “Toldja not to play the music that loud. But, not, you had to try the sound-activated lights you got.”

“Shh…” said AL, looking around at the aftermath. The trash cans she’d borrowed were full to the brim and everyone else other than Clark and Data were still asleep. Those two were starting to clean the place up.

“Oh, do you have to be so loud?” Jesse said as Clark and Data pulled the bags from the cans, making the contents clatter.

“Who don’t you go downstairs and let us handle it?” Clark suggested.

“Good idea,” said AL, glad she didn’t have to do any of the hard stuff. That was one of the perks about living with all the former people who’d do anything for you.

AL, Tommy, Adam and Jesse all hobbled downstairs and AL groaned when she saw all the dirty dishes in the sink.

“I’ll take care of that, too,” said Clark from the top of the stairs.

She smiled gratefully and they all plopped themselves down in rather undignified positions on the couch.

“Wild party,” said Jack, stumbling into the living room and collapsing onto the recliner.

“Mm…” AL mumbled.

Doc10 walked in, looking bedraggled, hair mussed. Yet cheerful. “Morning!” he said.

“Stop yelling…” groaned Jesse.

“He’s not,” said Jack.

“Ignore them,” said AL.

“So, did you enjoy your party?” AL asked Jack.

“You know it. Thanks again.”

AL smiled. “How long can he stay, Doctor?”

“Wow,” commented Tommy. “I thought for sure you’d be having him move in.”

Jack’s eyes lit up. “Can I?”

“No,” said Doc10. “Because of he moves in, then I should be able to move in. And Lisa won’t do that – ”

“Well…”

“Not you, the other one.”

“Oh.”

“She won’t do that because that would involve making a new layout with both of us and she won’t do that.”

“Sure, I would,” came the voice of RL and she came through the front door.

AL groaned. “Why are you here?”

“I can’t come by and wish Jack a happy birthday? What’s this about you two wanting to move in?”

“I thought Clark hasn’t been here long enough?”

“So? C’mon. You get two more pretty boys to live with.”

AL grinned. “Well…since you put it that way…”

Adam, Tommy and Jesse all looked at each other, then to Jack.

“Welcome to the House of Insanity.”

“I guess expect a new layout with the next couple of weeks,” said RL.

“Don’t you usually change on the first of the month?” Jesse asked.

“Since when has that been a plan? You all are screwy. Can you update more, now, please?”

“Not promising anything.” AL said.

“What else is new?”
