Chapter One: They Have to Get Yelled At First
Once again, Real Lisa (RL) barged into the house, shouting. “People!”
This time, no one was around to hear her. Sort of.
“We’re upstairs!” came Alien Lisa’s (AL’s) voice from the second floor.
RL went up, speaking before she even reached the top. “You know, Luke’s birthday to the Doctors’ anniversary is one thing…November to March is – ” Her voice died when she noticed the game room still adorned for a party. “ – another. What’s up?”
“It’s Jack’s birthday today,” replied AL, who was hanging a huge “HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACK!” sign on the wall.
“Jack…Harkness?” RL asked. “Does he celebrate birthdays?”
“He will, now,” said Clark, who was hanging balloons from the ceiling. “Lisa’s idea.”
“Yup,” said AL. “Ten’s bringing him here in a little while.” She paused. “What were you squawking about when you came stomping in here?”
“Huh? Oh, about you guys updating more.”
AL shrugged. “Not my fault if we’re boring.”
“It’s nice when it’s quiet,” said Hooks, who was sitting on top of the sheet covering the poker table.
“We’re not boring,” said Jesse, handing pieces of Scotch tape to AL, “are we?”
“Nah,” said AL. “We just have better things to do than update a blog no one reads.”
“That’s not true,” said RL. “I read it.”
“Pfft! So?”
“So, that should be enough.”
“Big deal. If you’re not gonna help, go away. We have a lot to do before Jack gets here.”
“Fine. Where’s everyone else?”
“I sent them to Earth to get party stuff.”
“Even Data?”
“Twenty-fourth century stuff. Looks cooler.”
“Oh. Well, update more.”
“Whatever.”
