Trivia and In-Jokes
About the Story:
When AL posted in her
journal on the 46th anniversary of Doctor Who inviting
whoever to come over to the house for dinner and cake,
ClockworkDoc had responded that he’d
been turned invisible in the Nexus. After stifling a giggle, she mentioned
that Woodhorn and Janis Thorn wouldn’t bother him if they couldn’t see him, then
suggested they put a bell around his neck. Doc then thought of the cloud, and I
decided to write it out. I decided to add in Dee just because I love her. ^^
Story:
It was 16 minutes past 5: I’ve used this opening from More than 30
Years in the TARDIS previously in
The
Anniversary Party and, slightly altered, in
45th
Anniversary. And, yeah, I probably will be using it for every Doctor
Who anniversary story. ^^
Duff and Alton: Duff Goldman of Ace of Cakes and Alton Brown of Good Eats. I think AL figured she’d give Robert Irvine a break or something since he did the meal last year. ^^
Hooks and Dee: We found out in the Inkwell that Hooks likes children and is very fond of Dee. We’re not sure why, either.
Dee’s driving: I’d asked V if Dee had the hover conversion in her car form and she told me that since she was the Part III DeLorean (only with tires), probably not. Hence the driving and tearing up the grounds. But, yeah. It’ll grow back.
Code Red Mountain Dew: My favorite drink next to canned Country Time Lemonade (has to be in the can or it doesn’t taste right).
