Medicus studied under Miach, starting when he was young. He wound up falling in love with his teacher's daughter, Althea, and they became mates. When he was ready, he took over as Healer so Miach could be with his family. He pulls around a giant wooden cart, which is filled with bottles and containers -- blown by Blackhorn and Icemane -- of his homemade remedies for whatever ails you and whatever he uses to create them.

Medicus prides himself in knowing anything and everything about healing. If he can't cure something right away, he'll do everything he can to make what he needs to do so as quickly as possible. He and Althea split up the duties of gathering ingredients for the remedies and she helps him make them. Even if he's not available right away, he usually gets the message that he's needed rather quickly.

It's unknown how, exactly, he manipulates his ingredients to make such remarkable cures. He claims it's a trade secret and will not divulge it.

He also has telekinetic powers, so he can move things with his mind. His horn is hollow and he -- like Miach and Althea -- can use it as a syringe.

He and Althea were approached by Aiko, Nijole and Theophania's daughter, and she asked to train with them. She told them that she wants to learn how to heal so no one else has to be orphaned just like she and her friends, Ulan and Banji, were.

He doesn't need the glasses. He just uses them for show.
