Banji and her twin sister, Ulan, wandered into the meadow one day. For possibly the same reason that Ulan has part of her ear missing, they can't remember their parents or where they lived previously. Blackhorn and Icemane decided to appoint themselves their foster parents. As a twin, she is psychically linked to her sister.

They like to spend time playing with the other young members of the herd.
